Safe to say Northampton Saints have suffered there worst season since relegation in the 07-08 season. There worst moments of this season in which they are safe have arguably pretty much all come against Sarcens. They started the season with a demolition on the opening day of the season, that day 7 first half tries put the whole club on watch.
Two more defeats have followed for Northampton against Sarries and this weekend saw another capitulation against last years European Champions.
The visitors to Franklins Garden opened the scoring through Alex Lozowzki in the opening 10 minutes, and unlike the 7 first half tries in the first half of the season this was still a tight affair at half time with the score 13-15 after Schalk Brits went over the line on 35 minutes.
In the 2nd half the home side fell apart, conceeding a record 7 tries in a half of rugby, a record that was achieved by the Saints in that opening game defeat. Finishing the game with a similar looking scoreline at 13-63 defeat the Sarcens have romped away in all of the games and the Saints teams inability to improve against the same side 4 times through the season is a worrying state of affairs.
With new coaches heading in and undoubtedly some changes needed in personnel the next few years looks bleak for Saints fans at the minute.
