Todd Blackadder showed his frustration in the last play loss to Gloucester on Sunday night. In the dying minutes a Gloucester try was converted by Owen Williams to hand their bitter rivals a one point win at The Rec.
Blackadder could not hide his emotions in this post game interview. This is the second time in the season they have narrowly lost a game, taking a loss at Newcastle in similar fashion.
The director of rugby said: “Out of ten out of ten? I’m probably about a nine.
“It was a really frustrating and disappointing performance. Sub-standard from us.
“I never felt at all that we were in the game and then we found ourselves in a position when we probably should have shut it out, but we didn’t.
“From our side, it was just not good enough.”
Bath were dominant for stretches but Blackadder was frustrated that often they squandered possession, taking wrong options or handling errors.
Semesa Rokoduguni was on form once again, finishing off some brilliant individual skills from Jonathan Joseph and Taulupe Faletau. But as a team, they failed to tie down the game and let Gloucester back in.
